Default change of heart

well after a 2 year battle with BOFA to take 2 ''delinquencies'' from my credit they finally did it.

and after talking with the bank for a loan so i could get a 03 sebring with 36**** and get approved i had a change of heart.

loan and insurance were @ 420 a month. (not bad considering i had a accident a cople of years back) By all means i could even buy it cash if i wanted but, thats just it i been saving really hard, i dont really drive that much and well yeah. i dont c the point of me getting a newer car RIGHT now since the one i have right now was a steal. (600 for a 96 protege dx, 5speed, 166*** miles)

soooo yeah. i Will get an s but not, just, right, now.

i'll probably end up getting a really good credit card and pay the balance RELIGIOUSLY.

I must commend you. You have made a very difficult (for most) but very wise decision. To be honest I can not afford the S I have, but to sell it now that it's almost paid off, would lose me even more money.

Again congrats and keep saving.

More power to you man. I'd keep the Protege if you only paid $600 for it. Look at it this way, you still have plenty of years ahead of you to own an S!

It's just a car. Being able to sleep at night is far more important.

Better this than a few years down the line get a nice fat serving of regret as you see where you are and where you could have been if you were a little more disciplined.

We all have to make decisions like that, the first one is the hardest.
