This thing is way up (~68% for the year) and now has even the unhip talking about their shoes. They sell foam like sandals. This to me is just a fad, and based on this I'd love to short this.

But I see they are using their money to acquire other companies and give them more than ugly (although apparently comfortable) footwear (still 90% of revenue) to sell. They are also actively litigating against knockoffs.

Am I missing something or is this just a matter of time before it starts its slide back to anonymity?

I bought some back in February after Cramer recommended it. It instantly started south and I sold happily with a $1/share profit. It didn't get back up to my basis until sometime in April and then gapped up almost $12 May 5 after spectacular earnings were released May 4. Timing is everything! Now, will it continue? Who knows? Technicians would argue that gap has to be filled. Who knows? They are selling one helluva lot of those ugly plastic shoes is all I know.

That sucks. I was in Israel last year (where they wear these things all year round) and my girlfriend wanted to buy them. They were $60!!! All they are is silicone and foam. I knew about them in 2006 (feb)...I could have made a killing!!!

I Used to wear the (I think anyway) original shoe in the early '90s. They were about $80 a pair, but they were resistant to operating room cleaning chemicals, easy on the feet, and didn't slip on wet floors. These new lighter ones wear out a lot faster and stink up after a while, so I don't think they will be around very long.

Way too high to buy, way too unpredictable to sell. I tend to avoid these kinds of stocks, they can be ball busters and I'm too old for that.

At ~$85 it's up an additional ~16% since I posted.

No, I tried to be smart and not touch it. The more I read about the less I think they suffer when their sandal falls out of favor. Seem to have some smart management.
