Given Mr. Faber's reputation, I'd be disinclined to convert all of my assets into gold based solely on this pronouncement.

While I see Faber's point and it makes sense logically, never estimate the power of deflation.

I highly highly doubt we will be seeing deflation. With the amount of money that has been spent on recovery we are certantly going the inflation route the question is how much. Simply look at the run on the dollar and energy this past week. On the other hand I don't agree with those that suggest gold is the only way to play the inflation.

I saw someone else has it but Nat Gas is a great play right now through UNG. I have traded it once from 13 to 16 and I got back in recently around 13.50. Right now it is stuck in a trading range but even for long term investors its at a steal right now

The ultimate perma-bear, Marc Faber, is bearish? Who knew?

If the US had Zimbabwe-like inflation right now, Marc Faber would be calling for inflation 100x worse than Zimbabwe - because to Faber, no matter how bad it is, it can only get worse.
