I made quite a bit off of the SPDR Gold Trust (ETF), ticker GLD. It should be quite lucrative with the market being so volatile right now as long as you can catch the ups and downs. Though, I think you will make money even if you stay in long term.

Is it worth buying at this price anymore or did I miss the boat?

Gainesvillecoins.com is the place I use most of the time, unless I buy bulk, when I might use Apmex.com, but mostly gainesville. Both are extremely reputable. Do note that for some items, the ship dates are far in advance, but rest assured you WILL get your bullion.

Now is a great time to buy. It dipped back to the 1,700s, which was expected, and will start to climb slowly again. Look for it to be over 2k during the fall, and $2,200 by Christmas.

The real apocalypse will be when the gold bubble pops and a whole bunch of suckers get stuck with safe deposit boxes full of worthless small change.

Thinking about picking up a 5 or 10oz silver every month as a safeguard. Good or bad idea?

Great idea. Anything is better than holding dollars.

Riiiiight...tell me, which one of your stocks looks as good as gold for the last 11 years?

LOL at your financial understanding if you think gold can EVER be in a bubble. Enjoy your Bernanke koolaid!

Or the last three weeks.

I am not a speculator, nor have I ever advocated buying paper metal. Those who own physical couldn't care less about a 3 week time frame. Furthermore, let's not forget why this is actually happening....speculators need to sell their ONLY asset class (commodities) to be able to cover their margin calls.
