December is also a good month for me, up 46%. October is another good month, up 43%. In between these two months, I lost 14% in November. The first 9 moths was okay, up only 18%. But I'm not complaining for the year so far. Who can say that he/she is not satisfied with more than 100% gain for 1 year ?
Also, I am enjoying a top down cruising in a nice 75 degree sunny day in Southern California, while it is snow and cold in Mid-West and North-East.
The only not so good this year is the housing market, my home lost about 15-20% this year, on top of 10% last year.

^ In irvine? Irvine seems to still be doing ok and I see it continuing to hold strong as long as they can keep all those commercial buildings filled. However, them building the great park or whatever it is called full of homes might not be the best idea.

This week is a very good week for me, financially. Personal account up 51% and IRA up 16%. For YTD, PA up 230% and IRA up 134%. I went to Vegas last Monday and won $10,900 after 4 days gambling.

Each year that goes by...the companies will have a tougher time growing at such a fast pace (harder to grow larger companies as fast).....and those premium valuations will be tougher to maintain.
I would be deploying money elsewhere. I think there are some good opportunities in the deep water drilling services companies, some good international telecom stocks (Mainly latin america), and possibly some good banks that have gotten completely slaughtered by the subprime mortgage industry. (I am still waiting on the banks....but WM, C, CFC, etc have gotten killed. They have in place the infastrucutre to go back to where they used to be.....but made some poor decisions. They are trading at very cheap valuations....just wait till the dust settles and the selling subsides....I would be looking in that area to accumulate shares.
