In store financing question
Heres the deal. I purchased a hardwood floor from lumber liquidators that is defective prior to install. Speaking with the store they are telling me to bring it back for a swap after they inspect it. I do not want a swap from them I want my account credited and LL to take their floor back. I used lumber liquidators finance company which was HSBC for 12 months interest free financing. I have not made any payments to this account as of yet. Is there a way that I can force them to credit the account with HSBC instead of giving me store credit?
Thanks a lot for help with this its really appreciated!!

You have third party financing. It's no different than had you paid cash. What is the seller's return policy? That should govern your ability to get a refund or exchange. If they're not honoring their policy, then time to get the BBB involved, raise a stink on the internet, &/or be a pain in their ass until they see the error of their ways.

Their return policy does say you may have a 20% restocking fee.
Keep calling them to complain, then ask for a manager. Keep going up the ladder.
I think returning a defective product is different from returning something because you changed your mind about the color.

Well here is the update. They took back the flooring because it was defective. I am hesitant to purchase another floor from them due to this quality issue so maybe I will choose another manufacturer that they offer. I was hoping to just go purchase somewhere else but its kinda looking like i'm stuck. Even though I now have 12 mo interest free financing for something I no longer own.
I just wish they would credit HSBC and be done with it. Oh well thanks for the help!!
