Muppets The corner of the UK & Ireland where muppetry happens. Totally off topic, word association, useless stuff and general messing about.

What happened to San's "What happened to Pete's thread?" thread?

Default What happened to San's "What happened to Pete's thread?" thread?

Threads are disappearing before my eyes, I am sure I did not dream it, I even replied on it.

Mods - can we have an explanation please?

Explanation:

I removed it, as I wanted to end the whole episode of stupid posts, but it kept raising its head.

Cheers

Just to add

We do a job, voluntarily, to try and keep the forum a happy and enjoyable place to hang out. We act as fairly as we can and try to be as resaonable as possible without overmoderating.

Says the whoremaster himself!

Seriously, perhaps a post explaning why and then lock it would have been more appropriate especially as there was nothing offensive in San's post and this is the O/T forum where more stupid posts than I have ever seen get posted on a daily basis.

Generally you and the other mods do a great job with this site and I thank you for that, however this is bordering on "overmodding" IMHO.

Thanks for your input

Sometimes with the rate of posting it is difficult to explain our actions each and every time we do something. And if we do that in public it would fill the forum up with explanations of what and why we've done things. A quick PM to the person concerned is enough IMHO

The forum is primarily about S2000's - We have the O/T forum to mess around in.

I would hope that users trust that the CO's do their best and act in good faith, I guess there is a level of trust required on the users behalf there, and I would hope that our decisions are respected in the main, without being questioned too much. We do reverse our actions when appropriate, as illustrated in the FS&W forum this evening.

Now I'm going to go to bed, I'm tired. I don't particularly want to continue debates about posts being deleted here and there, and would rather get on and have some time to enjoy the forum myself.

Continue the debate at your leisure.
