I left when the car was returned and the Scooby purchased, but have returned ever since. Scoobynet is crap, full of boy racers. SIDC is a good forum, although there were only a small number of posters when I joined - growing now though. S2ki is by far the best

Hear Hear !
It's great to be part of a board where you can discuss just about anything with well informed, intelligent, and (in most cases ) grownup people.
I like a nice debate I do.

To be honest most of my work is done between 5.30am and 9.00am and then again towards the end of the trading day
I support trading systems for the merchant banks in the city trading on the LSE. Basically all the servers are cron'd to start up in the early hours and then they need checking to make sure that the banks are able to trade once the market opens.
Sometimes they need a tweek here and there especially if config changes have been made
Again come the end of the day is when a lot of the clients book out their business to customers and again sometimes there can be hiccups
Intraday as long as things run smoothly and there are no failures then I can punctate my day posting on S2ki

I'm really here for when things 'go tits up'....quite often I will get paged during the night at 'orrid times like 2.00am and at weekends.......especially Sunday night
Sometimes it can be manic but just recently we've been quiet........
Takes me back to when I had been made redunant from my job in the city last recession and I had to 'stack shelves' in Sainsbury's.....I've never worked so hard from a 'manual' sense in my life.....and earned the sh1test money
My job is very pressured and stressful for short sharp periods followed by periods of immense boredom........it would be nice to find a balance

Zero if it's been quiet and you can play for long periods then why is your PPD so low (relatively speaking of course )
BTW you don't really have to answer that I'm just posting to get mine up higher
