You're a man of few words soulcrew. It's not below your hero to play Wipe Out which I posted earlier featuring Mel Taylor.
I was interested to read about Mel's drumming style now that I know a little more about it.
"Taylor used traditional grip as opposed to the matched grip. He originally started out with The Ventures on a 4-piece drum kit with just hi-hats and a crash/ride cymbal. Towards the end of the 1960s, he expanded his kit to have multiple toms, double bass drums, and added numerous crash cymbals to his set as well. His kit remained this way until his death from cancer in 1996."

Thanks. You've backtracked a bit there. Who is the World's best drummer then? Neil Peart is not a rock musician?
I love the cow bells too. When we were talking about ride cymbals earlier and before I knew what they were, we spoke of what Mr Q calls the skulls. I have found out that they are correctly called temple blocks. They give that clip-clop sound. I like them too.

Fantastic! There was even a touch of Evelyn Glennie towards the end.
He’s found the book so I have improvised a kit and am about to accompany him playing Macnamara’s Band. Looking forward to crashing my rides, only in drum-speak though.
