That $13 a week in everyones check will sure make a difference!

At least Bush gave me thousands of dollars in hard cash all at once. That helps people pay their bills and/or buy new stuff right away. WTF will anyone do with $13?

I wish I had the link to Michelle Obama complaining about how the $600 check Bush was sending out during the campaign was peanuts and not worth it. Now her husband cuts it to $500 and spreads it over the whole year. Thats CHANGE for ya!

I'll find a use for it. You have my address, just send that extra money to me.

I suspect I'm going to end up being taxed more than $13/wk in the future...

And to answer the question, people will continue to be irresponsible with their money, whether it's $13 a week or $130. Regardless of my politics, I have even less faith in the general public. You won't hear a Republican OR a Democrat place blame on people for being idiots, because they need to be elected. But I think the bar of common sense has gotten so low that nobody needs to read the fine print anymore. You just buy what you want with the money or credit you've got at the moment, and when you can't feed or shelter yourself, someone else will take care of you.

A case every other week is usually enough for me anyway. I'll happily accept checks or cash.

that 13 a week will buy me say an extra pizza - then the pizza guy will need to buy more cheese and flour and then the cheese place will need to buy more machines to make extra cheese and then that means extra $$$ in the system

take your $13.00 and multiply it by every tax payer and that's a LOT of money

as a side note the last checks did not help the economy as planned as most just used it to pay bills

I'll take the cash. Maybe I'll spend it, or maybe I'll just bump up the savings deposit.

BTW, we did help stimulate the economy with our last rebate. It helped pay for the fancy railings on our new deck.

Speaking of a new deck, the brick front steps are suffering from the bad winter. I get it repaired every spring....Think the extra cash we will get will buy a new front porch???

Yup, they paid bills. If they paid bills, they werent in default. The bank isn't going broke. Then, once their bills are paid, they bought more stuff.

I mean really, $13 a week is crap. I give more than that to charity. That won't make a single difference to anyone in the country. I can't even get two big mac meals with that.
