Default octuplets

even this makes me sick.

the doctor should be sued and pay child support for allowing this to happen.

This whole thing sickens me and its why i can be as callous to say "Let them all die from starvation - I wouldn't want ANY of my tax dollars going into her pocket." She could receive $793 per child??! Thats over $11,000 a month!! I know many 2 income familys that dont make that much who are RESPONSIBLE enough to know when enough kids is enough. I say - CHILD SLAVERY.

Because she is not taking personal responsibility for her action/choices.

IF I had another kid, I would have had to support it. If my neighbor chooses to have 14 kids, why should I support those kids with my tax dollars. Sure if someone has a handicapped child, I expect they may need some help. But having eight babies raises the risk that many of them could be born with handicaps. Where is her personal responsibility?

Multiple births are an extreme health risk to the mother and to the babies.

This has been called "bad medicine" by many doctors, and I agree.

She needed IVF to have all of those kids.... so you know you could raw dog it and not worry about more kids.

I heard some random rumor that she's had cosmetic surgery to make herself look more like Angelina Jolie.

Ryan, she only gets SSI for the handicapped children....I don't think all 14 have handicaps, but I'd bet some of the eight babies will. There could be a "not to exceed" amount on that kind of thing, but I don't know......

No doubt though she is expecting others to pay for her obsession with having lots of babies.

The other fundamental consideration is that the only thing new here is that she had IVF. There are thousands of other women on welfare who continue to have children they cannot afford. And it's pretty much accepted. And even more women who have a kid with no intention of being able to support it.

She's also not the classic stereotype of the jobless mother on welfare, so it's easier to bash her. If she were a minority, people wouldn't be so harsh. It's also easier that she feeds the press with her crazy statements. She's got the lover/dreamer's optimism instead of the classic bitter pessimistic view that the world has conspired to ruin her life.
