Autocross Schedule
You have a race car, not an auto-x car. Come to cal speedway sunday and I will ride with you and get you into it... Really low risk track with lots of runoff everywhere and about as close as can be (other than Spring Mtn.) DO IT!!!!

I want to try cali speedway and other cali tracks some day when allot of people from here go.
Streets of Willow is also a fun track if you like the lower speed, more technical type of tracks (vs. Big Willow).
there's usually a group of us who make it to Streets when they have an event...

This is the current schedule for the rest of the year:
August 22 Primm night event
September 27 Nellis tentative
October 18 Bullring (LVMS)
December 13 Bullring (LVMS)
We're currently thinking about adding 1 more date in nov and 1 more date somewhere else so I'll keep you updated on that.
and lastly there is nothing wrong with starting at an autocross, it's a great learning experience and can help you make the jump to track days. I think it was Randy Probst who said something along the lines of "you can take a fast autocrosser and turn them into a fast track driver but good luck having a fast track driver make the step backwards"
