I'll be in beautiful Las Vegas next weekend and will be renting a C6 six-speed. I was hoping you guys could fill me in on some nice drives in the Vegas area. Everything from straightaways to twisties would be cool.

 

Go up to Redrock. There's a NICE scenic and twisty drive up there. And it's one way, so you dont have to worry about oncoming traffic. You just have to worry about sliding off a cliff

I'm sure there a re a few other roads I'm forgetting, but someone else will chime in.

 

Mount Charleston Route 157, 158 and 156.

i love my ap1 but lets be realistic here its not that fast to be blowing 400 hp and 400 pounds of torque cars out of the water

 

havent lost to a C6 vette yet man. so i wouldnt mind losing to one. all the calcs say i should, but yet ive spanked every 6.0L GTO and vette that ive raced. so id be glad to take a loss. but if not, well, i win again, and my point is proven. you can come on any day and watch me run, just PM me. ill show ya. hehe. later dave

 

Dave, I know your a good drag racer and all, but the #'s just don't add up.
Perhaps you've run in to a long stretch of Bad drivers??? I know I can claim to have beaten Many cars on track (including you) with my 127 HP civic, but Then I know it wasnt the car I out ran, but the driver.


I recall a saying about Corvettes that I picked up at the track. "There are alot of Corvette owners in the world, but very few Corvette drivers".

 

"There are a lot of S2000 owners in the world, but very few S2000 drivers."

That applies also.
