How about 9 am at the cheveron on Blue Diamond then drive to Peggy Sue for Breakfast. Are we going to meet up this Wednesday to finalize our plans? wwwracer I thought you guys were to hammer out the details on sunday at Ryan's?

Ryan didnt even come by on Sunday. There was some hammering on Sunday, but not really any to do with details!

 

That still leave to be answer about Wednesday night?

 

I know that a couple of us are going to be working on my car Wednesday so we wont be at BWW if there is a meet. Youre welcome to come stop by to talk about the plans on Wed night.

yeah. im down for the peggy sues idea. but we need to make sure everyone is gonna show. a little discipline would be nice, just this one time. for some of you late wakers. i wanna be haulin ass by 9. not sitting in a parking lot at 10:15 waiting for someone whos still in the shower because they are too inconsiderate to get some sleep the nite before. let try and be organzied and we can chill for breakfast and still have a safe trip. we all need to keep close contact this week, so that this goes down smooth. and as for JP's stuff he needs returned. we will just have to see who has open seats and trunks when we head back. also, is anyone down to get matchin walkies and all be on the same channel? i know mike and i will be getting some 5 mile motorolas. we will need to make sure ryan lets us know what RPM he is comfy at. he will be breaking in his 4.77s and we dont need him in VTEC the entire way LOL. anyways. enough, im excited. chat with you all soon. dave

 

I'm not sure I can get out of here that early on Friday but I'll let you guys know later during the week. Never been to Peggy Sue's but have seen the billboards on the 15 (today's useless fact )

 

Jimmy and I were talking tonight while having breakfast at Terribles and 9am is uber early guys

You guys know how bad our sleep habits are. Hell last night we had starbucks at 11:30pm then breakfast at midnight

Check in time for the hotel is 3pm. Lets ASSUME it's actually going to take us 4 hours of driving time to get there.

Now if we leave at 9 we get to peggy sues in Yermo at 11 (side note: Mike will they still be serving breakfast at 11?) or Barstow (Tommys burgers maybe?). Say we take an hour a peggy sues or barstow and get out of there by 12. We would get to the hotel at 2. Which leaves us with an hour to kill if they don't have our rooms ready yet.

If we leave at 10 we can stop at barstow or peggy sues by 12. Be out of there by 1 and get to the hotel right around 3.

Now eating options...
*Peggy Sues- 50's Diner in Yermo (I've never been there so Mike can provide us with more details as I know he's been there )

*Barstow Lenwood Ave - There are quite a different food options there in and out, panda express, tommys burgers , subway, starbucks, and a whole lot of other stuff. This leaves options in case someone wants to eat healthy or has a hankering for asian food or pherhaps get some shopping done since there is also an outlet mall on Lenwood.

I'm fairly flexible I like breakfast and I like burgers and shopping. So I'm just tossing some other options out here for people to think about. Either way we'll need to stop for gas

Last side note: California CHP does use instant on radar. You can ask JP about the scare we had on the way to Sanata Cruz on the 101. By the time our radar detectors went off he probably had a reading on us, luckily we weren't going fast enough to deserve being pulled over and there was a Saturn who decided to pass us making us look harmless Neither of us were using cheapo radar dectectors either. He has a V1 and I have a Passport 8500 X50. We later saw him down the road with a Porsche and Audi pulled over So it's probably not the best idea to be hauling too much ass on the way there.
