Funny Read..
THat was obviously written by some one who has never driven a car in any sort of performance application..... most likely they were never able to learn how to drive stick and are bitter and spiteful towards all that can...

he makes some good points though. and if youve ever driven a DSG, or any car with a sick wet clutch auto. youll know what hes crying about. look at alot of the big race cars, they are solenoidally shifted. keeps your feet and hands where they should be. F1,shifter carts, almost every super car, drag cars, every one of them has gone to a system that is trusted not to mishift the car ever. i like the idea, and with autos that now have the same output as manuals, IE no hp loss by fluid drive. soon manual will be the *option* like i said, i work on dsg's quite a bit, they rule.
(direct shift gearbox).
but i also have a drag car that is stick, and so yeah, my animal instincts say keep it. nothing like winging out 9k, and bang the next gear and the car is all over the road. thats fun. but anyways,
i wont complain about autos when im drivin my 430. hehe take it easy all. dave
