Default Parts for Sale

I know I should post in the "Parts for Sale" section, but wanted to give an opportunity to the locals here.

Ricks Header. On the car for about 2000 miles before the turbo. Great piece. Takes about 45 minutes to install.

$650

Comptech Intake. On the car for about 1500 Miles. Helped the upper end. Takes about an hour to install. I used the vacuum hoses so the buyer would have to buy a few feet of vacuum hose for th local auto parts store. Would cost only a few dollars.

$250

Here is why that is...

Track day at laguna seca + all travel expenses = 650

Track day at willow springs + all expenses = 250

I'd rather be driving then modding

no excuses.

starbucks every morning for the month = $100+
eat out every day for lunch = $250+
eat out for breakfast every day = $150+
drink 5 gallons of beer each week = i wont go there
if you smoke, $200+
if you eat out for dinner more than 3 times a week..

you guys could save prob $500 or more per month if you budgeted, and your cars would haul ass. this place would look like socal.

you forgot the price of race rubber...

but ya, i'm with ya.... $ better spent driving then modding..

Dave, you're missing the fact that Karim and those that run opentrack/autocross ect.. are infact tuning to go faster. Except they are tuning from the inside out... start with the driver and move on from there. (From experience its nearly impossible to tune a chassis with out the driver being very consistent... other wise its very hard to tell if the handling issue is chassis or driver related)

would modding their cars make them "faster" on track... well sure, but then so would more seat time. Just ask Karim... when theres a few seconds difference between you and another guy on track and you are both in stock S2000's.... theres Plenty of "speed" to be made by just becoming a better driver.
