I nudged a S2000 off course.
the old course was resealed and made for a VERY VERY slick surface...which caused A LOT of people going off.
However, there were a lot of japanese (ie. JDM cars, not USDM imports) cars out there...
one was behind me. So, I only waved him by cause I know he was faster, but a white S2000 took the pass as well. oops.
This was at the old turn 7.
so, I start following the S2000...turn 8. I'm 3-4 cars back.
Turn 9, 2 cars back
Turn 10, ca car length, maybe.
Turn 1, maybe 2 cars.
Turn 2, he starts accelerating out and it happens. I'm maybe a car length back, about to take the inside, thinking he's gonna give me the point-by. But, the rear end steps out on him a little bit.
He counter steers and it looks like he saved it. I lift a little to give him some breathing room... nope, it snapped back the other way and now I had a S2000 front bumper facing me. He slides backwards off course and a plume of dust envelopes the car. I pass him and check my mirrors to see if he's alright.
After the session, I see that the rear wheel was off the car. I go over and ask who was the driver and some older guy inquired what I drove. "CRX" I reply and the guy says the owner of the S2000 thought I nudged him, causing him to spin.
I laugh and think the guy was kidding... but he had a straight face. Was it a dry sense of humor this guy had? who knew! But he stuck with it. Entertained, I continued to make sure that the driver was ok and that he didn't do any damage to the car...
Maybe 10 minutes later, the owner comes over and talks to me and says he had originally thought i nudged him, causing him to spin, but he couldn't find any paint or dents on his bumper. He apologized and was very friendly about the whole thing.
what's weird is, there were probably 30-40 off-courses that event. It...was...insane.
To the white S2000... I hope you didn't have anymore problems at the track day... it was brutally slick out there...our group spun quite a bit (me included).

I've heard from a few people about how bad the event was last weekend. Nasty slick goo all over the track.
I heard an Elise pretty much burned to the ground. True?
Weekend we were there this obnoxious guy ... I think his name was Lee ... stole my camera and took a bunch of pics.
Fortunately, all the pics turned out to be awesome. Thanks Lee!
