are you gonna drive your S in the snow? why not get a cheap set of AP1 rims and slap some studded tires onto thoses. Im sure 16" studded tires are cheaper than 17"

The Question is...is it worth the money for maybe 10 days out of the whole year? I can't justify spending the money on it. like a winter coat. I won't buy one cuz i'll use it once or twice.

And you could probably find a beater for cheaper

a dedicated winter tire such as a bridgestone blizzak or dunlop wintersport is better than a studded tire,........so they say. i have been wanting to buy them but i am a jew. i guess the performance is great even with no snow or ice, the colder temp performance are reason enough to purchase.

see...considering all the troubles i've had....that's just sooooo hard to believe. i've had studded tires on my old car and it's worked wonders.
