AD07's I believe..without looking at Tire rack, are about 150 each for the rear wider tires..maybe a little less for the fronts? I hear really good stuff about those Bridgestones too...I have time to think about it though

Current street tires are Bridgestone are 225/255 RE01Rs (might have to sell to get proper sizes for new street rims )

Track tires are 225/255 Nitto NT01

After instructing at so many track days and going through god knows how many sets of tires on 3 s2000s I've had the chance to drive on quite a few tires. So far here's some of my favorites...

So far the re01r is my favorite street tire when it comes to grip and response (this may change once I try out the new toyos) I followed the news on them every since they came out in Japan and every review on them has been nothign but positive. The re01r's are also the the tire of choice for most cars running in the front for Redline Time Attacks "street class" and at autocross nationals last year most of the fastest street tire class cars were wearing them. Rudy tells me it's a fairly popular tire on the drift circuit too, it must the baller drifters cause these tires ain't cheap!

I had RT615s on my car and didn't enjoy them one bit on track. They were great for a couple laps and but they do heat up and get greasy quicker than the RE01R. Once they are greasy they are still very predictible and don't take too many laps too cool. I also ran them as a street tire also and though they were pretty good. They do have good grip on damp roads but they arne't very good in hard rain where you might see standing water. They don't have enough rain channels to disperse standing so you have to really slow down in that situation. One of the best things about them is they are cheap! A whole set in my 225/255 setup is under $600. Great bang for the back if you all looking for a good dry weather tire.

Kumho MX. Best bang for the buck when it comes to a all weather street tire. Great grip in all situations and they deal well with heat. They also ride well and don't make a ton of noise. Also, they are cheap! They are currently on Rudy's car and he is driving them till they cord After that Rudy will be putting on my half used RT615s.

Edit: Forgot one favorite for my old ap1.... The OEM S02s on the AP1 16s. They might be pricey but they stuck really well and had great steering and braking response.

D4 I drove the hankook rs2 on blackjokers old ap1 at an autocross before he sold the car. Not a bad tire for the money. Good overall grip but response was lacking when compared to the OEM S02. Never got to try them in wet weather maybe James will comment on them

On more tire to add on that Ryan mentioned earlier the AD07 kicks ass on the elise. The only time I ever felt them to be lacking on grip is last event where I got to drive a students ltous who had Toyo R888s on it but since those are r-comps so you can't really fairly compare they two

If someone wants to donate me a grand I'll be glad to test them on the s2k

Thanks for your take on some tires Karim. I just noticed that the AD07 and RE-01R's are consistently highest rated by drivers on Tirerack.com in their category of "extreme summer performance". Those RE-01Rs really have been proven to work nice...one of the best street tires for sure.

Toyo R888s. They're the same tires that Evasive runs on their TA EVO.

The new Toyos I mentioned to compare with the RE01R is their new street tire, the toyo R1R. I've been hearing great things about them and want to try out a set

The R888 race tire drove on a students lotus and they are kickass
