I think its a very good idea. I have a lot of car wash stuff and we could get a few done and then adopt a few kids to give presents to for X-Mas. Anyone interested? We would need to find a place to do it, but that is the only thing that we really have to think about.

Ry, sounds like a good idea.

Here's what I was thinking for a charity event. We find a couple of toy drives that are all being held on the same day and start in the morning and do a group drive to each toy drive and drop off toys. I actually joined the Miata Owners Of Vegas (MOOV) last year on a similar event and it was a lot of fun.

 

I am all for a toy run like the Miata club does. I donate a bunch of toys every year anyway. Maybe we can run it by the BWW group and see who else would want to do it. The more, the merrier! (Pun intended...)

 

That's actually a good idea. Not sure if I can make it to the wash itself, but I have some suggestions.

I clicked on the other link on that thread and it had something about a raffle. Maybe since you guys go to BWW and have a lot of connections, maybe collect some prizes as donations and/or sponsors and in return have their banners/advertisements/coupons out during the car wash. Then give raffle tickets to car wash customers or for discount to car wash customers and at a little bit of a higher price to people who don't want a car wash...? Just ideas.

I dont know that we have time to gather items for a raffle at this point. If somebody wants to take care of that, that would be great. I think that if everyone can give up a few Saturdays then we can make some money and then do the Drive for Tots. I can try to find a gas station (or chain) that would be willing to let us do it, but I want some commitment before I start calling around. Let me know and I will get right on calling.
