A Dynamometer (sp?) is a device for measuring the horsepower and torque output of your car at the wheels. A 'Dyno Day' is when a group of us get together to have our cars tested on a Dyno (hopefully for a discounted price, but at least just to get together).
A Dyno test would be good for checking the performance of your drivetrain, especially for checking the effect of whatever mods you've installed.

Yup, I am guilty of starting this one. I have a new exhaust system that is the first one in North America, and no one has seen a Dyno sheet on this exhaust. So I am a guinea pig for this, and I am very excited to see what my new exhaust is really doing. It feels stronger... but that is only using my Butt Dyno... [Butt Dyno=Using your own body to take a guess on increase or decrease of power due to modifications to the car]. The only other mod I have that would effect the HP of the car from stock, is my MG Racing air filter. Which I will be taking out before I do my Dyno Run... and then re-install it for my last Dyno Run to see what the difference is of the air filter.
I can not wait!!!

What I did was I attached this photo to my post. Just like attaching enclosures to an e-mail.

Thanks for confirming I was right, Glen! One other thing I've learned about dynos from reading the forums - since it measures the HP at the wheels, it includes the losses of the drivetrain. So even though a stock S2K engine has ~240HP, when measured at the wheels it's slightly less than 200HP.
There was an interesting article I saw in 'Import Tuning' (while browsing at Borders) on how changing the air filter & exhaust (I forgot which ones they did) brought it up over 200HP.

In the past one would normally see .jpg on images saved on Wintel-based machines (due to their 8.3 naming conventions from the good ol' DOS days) and .jpeg on images saved on UNIX-based machines (who did it right the first time and didn't have such a major limitation to filenames).
