,
Doh! That looks almost as bad as what I did to my car the night before the Nor'Easter (I only had the car a month, it was midnight when we arrived, and I had not yet parked where there was a curb before in the S)
It's different when you are the one that messes it up - I've owned up to the 2 problems I've had that were my own fault. This one in my own parking lot SO close to my office door - which was open at the time even - and to have the person just drive off makes me mad!
Of course it can be fixed but THEY should be paying for it - not me
This car costs me enough money - and I'm not even counting the payments and insurance
It should come with a warning label... like instead of the "don't put a car seat here stupid" it should say: "This car will cost you ALOT of money in mods, meets and track days"

We're all a bit whacked. It gets a bit easier after the first dent, as with any new car.
It IS a bummer when someone hits you and doesn't take responsibility. Any way the dent could be popped out, or does it need paint too?
Our last dent/ding, was small. We also had been to the grocery store and Rick thought he chose a fine parking place. We came out and low and behold another ding. He was pi$$ed as we were getting ready to go on a road trip with the car, AND he had just spent a lot of time detailing it.
We decided since we'd be in and out of parking lots for hotels, etc., for the following week, we'd wait until we got home to have it taken care of.
There are times we'll take another vehicle besides the S, depending on where we are going, but most times, in the summer, we take the S and hope for the best in the parking lots.

Trust me when I say if you can get it out with PDR that's the way to go. If you ever trade in your S all the dealers have paint depth guages now so they know exactly what's been re-painted and what hasn't been. When they realize you have a panel that's been re-painted they'll try to hose you on the trade in.
Call Tim the Ding Man. He'll make it perfect.
