Trust me when I say if you can get it out with PDR that's the way to go. If you ever trade in your S all the dealers have paint depth guages now so they know exactly what's been re-painted and what hasn't been. When they realize you have a panel that's been re-painted they'll try to hose you on the trade in.

Call Tim the Ding Man. He'll make it perfect.
If the dent is small, like say the size of a penny, can these be removed without taking off the panel and pounding it back into shape?

PDR is the way to go! (PDR=Paintless Dent Removal BTW).

Basically the PDR tech uses specialized tools to get behind the panel and push the dent back out. That usually results in a bit of a pucker. So, the tech then shrinks the metal by pounding on it.

I had some PDR work done on my S2K and it came out perfect. It only works if the paint's not all scraped up though.

Where is a good place to go to get this done? Again, I'm in
Southern NH.
This is the guy many of us have used. He may be doing it as a side job now.

Give him a call. Maybe you can meet somewhere. His name is Tim and he does great work.

Tim is the best. He did a great job on my car and I would use him again.

I think his main job now is that he owns a credit card processing business or something like that. I'm pretty sure he still does ding removal on the side.

for Tim.

He's worked on ours twice already and we've seen what he's done with other vehicles as well. It's magic.

Hmm, interesting...so just what exactly did he do? Did he have to remove any panels? Drill holes? I'm thinking about having him remove a few dings, but just wondering what is involved.

Thanks for the detailed description, I always wondered what PDR involved, now I am more comfortable having this type of work done! Interesting stuff.
