Default Anyone do a rear ap1 to ap2 taillight conversion?

So just ordered ap2 head and taillights. I know the fronts should be simple for install...besides getting new HIDS as the old ones will not fit?

But the rears look a bit more difficult from my research. I know there is a good amount of cutting involved.

My question is...has anyone did these conversions and give me some insight?

Any help will be appriciated. thank you

first of all I live in a Condo not an apartment grove
yeah my neighbor helped me cut the metal with a sawzall.
the most important thing is to make sure you put a liquid gasket between the metal and the foam gasket. if you don't then water gets in the tail light. then you have to stick it in the oven to dry it out.

Ap2 tails are led and ap2 headlights look different

Headlights are pretty straight forward unless you only got the houseing as the ballests for the hid are different shapes so it's a pia to fit but can be done with a grinder. The tails mount differently so u will have to cut a dremel or sawsall will work but like mentioned you have to use a gasket or it will leak water into the light and maybe the trunk. Both can be done in less then a day. Good luck

A 'condo' is an apartment that you own.

Getting a bit off topic here eh... ... so anyways I am going to wait and see when these come in. I plan on modifying the clips for the ap1 hids to fit into the ap2...I have had experience with that from my rsx when I had to cut the clips to fit a hid bulb.
