Erick, you can always use the dumpsters in the projects. With all the rest of the crap going on in there, no one cares if you drop off a Volkswagon in there.

That just sounds like a bad idea. If project dwellers are anything like my deadbeat brother, they're fiercely territorial about the homes and dumpsters they don't pay for.

Wow you guys have it rough. I can put as much junk as I want by the street and when I come home from work on Wednesday it's gone.

I recycle all my paper, plastics, and empty liquor bottles. Beer bottles go back to the store about once a month.

Yeah, here in Westport, we get very little in the way of town services. But, that's the way I like it because I only pay about $1300/yr in taxes on two acres/house. In the surrounding towns, that would be about $2500/yr.

does the fire department count...?
i have recollections of something involving the fire department but i can't seem to remember the specifics

besides steve you do benefit from having a school. it keeps those local miscreants from breaking into your house while your at work.

it's not like i had to call them - i had the garden hose nearby and they were just driving by anyway and had nothing better to do (note to self, burning plastic makes tons of black smoke)

and i've got nothing for them to steal - heck maybe they could cut up some firewood or something

Maybe you do, and you just don't know it. I'd keep a low profile, if I were you.

Steve, remember the time that asshat was buzzing by your house with the loud exhaust and the PD took care of it for you? There is your tax dollars at work right there.
