and a few of my pics more to follow and again Thanks everyone for a great day and NO I'm not from Finland
I have a nice pic of Seung's rear diffuser but for the life of me i can't edit the plate out and save the orig quility - don't want to post Sung's plate with-out his permission
I would only qualify that by saying that among the many differences between a modern Subi and a nearly 20 year old TR is some 50 MPH in top end speed.
Volkswagen had a rear engine Boxer 4 in their original 1950's-1980's Beetle, and Porsche their sister company has carried on the traditional rear engine Boxer 4 and 6 in their most successful sports car models for over 50 years. Ferrari had the 12 cylinder Berlinetta Boxer before the TR, which was after already proving their Boxer 12 cylinder engine in Formula 1 racing in the mid-1960's.
A Boxer engine presents a very low center of gravity, which when placed in a mid-rear engine configuration like the TR greatly improves the handling potential of such a powerful car.
I hate to knock the Subi, but they merely copied a long proven engine layout. Having said this, I usually fear racing Subis in the rain, though because of their AWD systems not their engines.
