arrrrgggg
I am currently paying $39 a month, but that promotion for 12 months. Then it will be $49, I would call that comparable, in price for twice if not more speed.
So far, so good.
BTW with Fios, there is no modem, they installed cat5e cable from the outside box to my computer room. I have a RJ45 connector right on my wall. I connect my router to the connector, its like being on a WAN. (Wide Area Network) I recommend it if you can get it. I just got lucky this time, because it took forever to get DSL out here. Next is Verizon's big push for Video through Fios, I was thinking of trying it just to see if it is better than Satelite.

I was working with a Verizon guy one day and he was telling me about the FIOS rollout. He said that they may be offering television channels on an al-a-carte basis. So, if you are like me and only use around 10-15 channels, you might be able to save some big$$$ But, that isn't confirmed either.
