Autocross Weekend May 29 and 30th at FT Devons
Some of you have mentioned that you would like to go to an autocross this year. I think the upcoming May 29 and 30th events at Devons are the best opportunity for us to organize a group. You don't have to be a member of anything to go to these events. The 29th is the NESCC and the 30th is the SCCA. NESCC will be less crowded and you will get more runs. The SCCA event will be more competitive and you will seem some better drivers. That being said, many will go to both.
Ft Devons is centrally located in Ayer MA. Here is a link to the NER.org site page with the autocross schedule. This page has links to directions and if you go to the ner autocross page you will find links to help you with what you need for the autocross and how to prepare. http://www.ner.org/soloII/2004schedsolo.html
I think we could have some fun with this. Our cars are either in B stock, A stock or A street prepared (not sure who might be in modified, but hopefully we can keep you all in a class no higher than A street prepared). If we organize this we can eat together during the break and maybe go somewhere for a cold one after the event.
Post up here if you are interested and include which day you would like to go. Please note that an autocross is not a drop by late, leave early event. It is a day long commitment and it include working the course while other classes are running. Please do not go with plans to cut out early.

I would love to get into autocross but I don't have a clue where to start. It looks like fun from the pics/movies I've seen, plus a great way to use the car to its potential

bring sunblock! and water/gatorade.
it gets hot standing out on the course.
I'll check my schedule, cause I should get off my lazy butt and do this.
also, I might suggest the magnet thing for numbers cause the tape or shoe polish is time consuming and/ or messy
