It was great to finally meet you folks...I am aching for track event. I've been so busy this year didn't make VIR with the rx7 club or any of the Waterbury autocross events....so I was really looking forward to autocross at this event. I can't wait to get the car on the track now. There are a few handling improvements that I want to work on but overall I am happy. Glenn, can we get Poconos? Is the only problem with Lime Rock the roll bar? You also mentioned NH speedway....I CAN'T WAIT TO GET ON THE TRACK

cheers

W

Glenn, I saw you briefly on Sunday morning. You seemed way too busy to interrupt so I didn't hoping to catch up later. Sorry it didn't work out but we will get another chance.

Jim, I know you were just a tad hung over but I did sit next to you at breakfast!

Dan, we should probably have taken off with you as we found a nasty traffic jam a little ways down the road that tied us up quite a while. Fortunately, Vicky took us on a detour that seemed to avoid the worst of the traffic (or we might stlll be out there) and got us back to the hotel around 5:00. Ronie still had work waiting at home so we grabbed a bite at Wendy's and booked. Made it home sometime after 8.

All in all a great ride after a rocky start (long story).

[this was supposed to be part of the above post)

The best quote during the drive:

Scene: 3 local police officers at an accident scene waiting for a flatbed tow truck pull a Ford Explorer away.

Female officer: WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING? (as she looks at my car then the 7 S2000's behind me)

Me: Excuse me?

FO: Where are you doing around here?

Me: Oh... we are just doing a Fall Colors drive taking in the scenery. (me laughing inside)

FO: Well... you picked a bad day to do this!

Me: Really? Why?

FO: (because of the traffic we were in) You guys can't drive FAST!!! (as she cracks a smile)

Me: But... we're not allowed to anyway!!!!

FO: (she cracks up laughing!) (and the other officers next to her are also laughing )

Light turns green... and away we went... in a controled manner... but at the next right... it was open road... away from the traffic... and yes... the speed limit was broken [disclaimer: I was leading the AGRESSIVE group]

I agree, Vicki and Ken did a great job getting us out of the traffic. We were able to zoom down some back country roads Lots of fun!

When we passed one of the cops directing traffic she asked us, "Do you guys ever end? I've been seeing you all day!" I yelled back "There's over 100 of us!" Least she was smiling.

PInky, that was me. You COULD go easy on the middle aged thing
I mean, I am and all but don't need my face rubbed in it by some still-wet-behind-the-ears kid.
Guess I should have stuck my name tag in your face and introduced myself.
To be fair, you have only met me once before and that was two years ago at the run Marcel put together on the Kancamagus trail. I was alert (at least more so than SOME people) and checking name tags so I "recognized" you.

BTW, while I am picking on Pinky, anyone know who the last one to arrive for the drive on Sunday was?
