Default Best CAI

I know there are thousands of threads already on this topic, but I'm appealing to my fellow New England S2K owners out there. What in your opinion is the best value regarding CAI's currently on the market and where is the best place locally to purchase them?

I like my Comptech CAI. But then again, I have no experience with any others. Looks cooler to me though, just my opinion. Gotta order it from Comptech, no local dealers that I know of.

They all will be within a HP or two (statistically irrelevant, since total gains are only a handful of HP, like 7-10) of each other, so it really doesn't matter too much as far as power gains go. The only thing left is looks, so choose whichever looks good to you.

well, the AEM, INJEN CAI has some problem with the being located too low... so, that may cause the filter suck in water to engine when the car gets into a puddle... that is not likely to happen.. but, to me, there is alwayz a chance like that..!! so, that is why I went with Comptech CAI from AEM CAI...!!

for me, J's Racing CAI or Spoon air duct is the good design to me..!! well, why not Mugen? cuz J's is the same design and almost half the price compare to Mugen...

Bass, it is almost impossible to hit into a big puddle in NE..especially when you don't lower your car..
but, I wouldn't take even a little chance..!! that is me..!!
However, in case to let filter suck the water in, you need a BIG PUDDLE..!!!! a little water won't do the thing..!!

It is possible! There has been one local owner that has Hydrolocked their S in Boston! Stock S2k with stock intake. Everything is possible!

The AEM Bypass Valve has been known to lose HP.
