Default best place for allignment?

I normally go to Direct Tire but I'd like to know if someone has had a good experience at another place. My honda dealership tells me I can even to go Monro?

mas,

My two cents on this...

I'm not sure if 99% of us (New Englanders) have even thought of getting our cars re-aligned yet. I know of one person that had their dealership do it, and another person that had a PRO re-align their car with very specific settings for Auto-x. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the shop was Small Fortune Racing in Monson, MA. But I will check on that...

Oh.. but wait... how precise do you need your car to be re-aligned? From what I hear, this shop (not sure if it is the one mentioned above) is a little pricey but they are very good.

I think the dealer is probably the better place to get alignment done. They typically charges around $70-80 (varies from dealer to dealer). NTB is another option, but their alignment price for "sports car" is like $75 (normal price is $50) so they are really not any cheaper than the dealer. Only plus is NTB, more often than not, will be able to do it on the spot w/o appointment and get you out the door in two hours.

I got mine done at a dealer at a discounted price of $52 due to related tsb works. HTH

Well, to start with I'd just like to find out where it's at. Chances are it'll be ok, but i'd still like to make sure. Unfortunately, my honda dealer does not do allignments so I'd like to find another honda dealership (other than bernardi's and honda village) or any other shop that someone else has had good luck with.

PsychoBen: which dealer did you go to?

I went to Herb Chambers of Boston. Their service reps are very good, but I've bad experiences w/ their valets. Many times they would have customers' cars' AC in full blast and windows down as they bring them down from their garage. That really upsets me. Last time they played w/ my stereo (turned it on, took out my cd, tune to a station I never listen to, etc.)...I am not going back there again even though they refunded me the aligment charge as credit for future services.

I don't really know which dealer to recommend for services other than Bernardi's. I do know Cambridge Honda is another one to avoid for alignment...long story.

It's pretty sad...isn't it?

I'm probably going to be a guinea pig and try the NTB in Waltham. I really don't feel like paying $150 to AoB whom I do trust. But I won't use the Honda dealerships for similar reasons to Ben...

I brought my previous cars, Eclipse GSX and Vehicross, to ALIGNEMNT SPECIALISTS in Brookline. They did a pretty good job, and they were pretty reasonably priced too. Worth taking a look. Dealers are usually good, but you will need to leave your car there for a whole day!
