Default Bill rules.

The results from last weekend's BMW autoX are in and our man LegalBill and his barely legal exhaust/sway bar mods had the top showing among us S2k folk. His mechanical advantage & superior skill wasn't enough to overcome the WRX's & Focuses (Foci?) in the rain, but he kicked my soggy butt.

Come to think of it Bill, you beat me last time it rained, too!

I'll be praying for sunshine this Saturday.

Francis, I don't want to add unnecessary pressure, but you had better win this week or that cocky clown with the WRX might win the overall title. That would be bad.

Chris--you beat Jason Bundas!

Thanks Martin. I wish I hadn't hit those stinking cones! You know, the guy who is right behind me in the standings can move right to first place if he wins the last event. It looks liek you are competing with him for best rookie too.

I think that guy Byron (WRX) has rookie of the year locked up, if not the overall title, too.

Hey,

Where were you guys last Saturday when it was sunny and dry at the NESCC event? We all got six six runs on a long, fast, and MUCH SAFER course than BMW sets up (BMW seems to time starts optimally for the potential of a head-on collision). I even brought home the applicable trophy for 1st place in B Stock, putting away a TT and an RX-8.

BTW, Jason is a much faster driver than me, he just left that BMW event early because he thought it was too dangerous.

Bill, you did a great job getting to the front of the staging area to slip in a quick run immediately before the rain started. OTOH, I was laughably sliding around in the rain all day on slicks.

Kind Regards, Chris

Thanks Bill! I only won 'cause the fast guys weren't there, or were off running in the Pro class for $.

BTW, I adjusted my sway bar end-links as you had suggested the other day -- to allow some movement in the joints.

I also wanted to use a stiffer setting position, but without those brake line relocation Tabs there is no way I can use the middle or stiffest position without risking damage to the brake lines. Rylan said he would get Saner to send me them a couple of weeks ago, but I have since called (left message) and also emailed Saner myself for the Tabs.

If they don't arrive next week I will be fabricating my own Tabs.

Driving the car hard in the dry (with the Hoosiers) I have yet to get the car to understeer -- it oversteers just fine though...

See you Saturday.

Kind Regards, Chris
