Default Bored in CT this weekend?

If anyone's bored in CT this weekend swing by Honda of Westport and let me know what you think of this car 07 GPW

1 Owner but it looks pretty dirty so I'm a little concerned on the condition, I REALLY don't want to travel that far to find out it sucks like the one in RI did. I can't trust the salesman, they all think their cars are in mint condition when I think they haven't actually even looked at the cars in person Been a long time since I bought a used car, forgot how frustrating it can be. Someone sell a GPW at a dealer in NH please

I agree, the engine being dirty is a little concerning but maybe it was a daily driver and it was just a combo of dust/pollen etc and wasn't cleaned often...maybe.

If the body is in good shape I'd still be interested, I just don't want to drive that far to find out that one side of it was used to practice slap shots on.

Going to toss this back up, if anyone around that area could swing by whenever I'd appreciate it. So far all the others I've looked at closer by have been duds. Looking more at the pictures it looks like there's some scuff marks on the rear bumper but can't tell anything else, salesman isn't helpful. If anyone can confirm the body is clean of dings/dents I'll contact the manager there, hopefully he/she will be more helpful.

Having cleaned more then a few engine compartments, I can tell you I have never seen that color of "dirt". It is clay color to it so I am thinking the same think as others have said, possible flood damaged car. What does the carfax say on it? I imagine it is coming from out of state, WAY out of state.

according to dealer ad
This S2000 was originally bought here and has a clean history.
it looks a lot like clay portions of CT and NY have lots of it.

^ missed that... Yeah it does look like clay to me also.. that's why I suspect water damage... but the engine bay overall isn't bad but the rubber looks like it soaked up the color...

Looks like the car rolled into the lot and the guys took pictures, really should have at least gave it a wash inside and out before snapping the pics...

I do like the GPW and interior color combo though...

Carfax is clean, they have it listed on the site to view if anyone's interested, looks like CT and MA is where it spent it's time, 1 owner. I'm trying to hold out and get a GPW this time around and I do like that color combo as well. I honestly can't believe they haven't taken better pictures and put those up instead of the dirty ones, unless these are the better pictures

Spring is coming, they're better off getting it listed and doing a cleanup later if it doesn't sell.
Cars do get dirty. If you're really interested in it use it to your advantage and question how well the car was cared for.

they're are areas in CT that use the clay crap as sand in the winter. You see and their cars look red for crying out loud.
The implication would be it got driven in the winter.

to me the engine clay color on the rubber could just be the rubber being really clean with out dressing. If you clean your tires really good they do the same thing. Only guess from my experience. but if you look pass the hose color the engine is really clean look at the block where it normally gets dirty in the front timing cover
