OMG! I can't believe I just read an article from the Herald. I feel so dirty.

Anyway, Boston drivers are BAD. However, I can say without a doubt that Miami drivers are WORSE. It's kind of apples to oranges IMO though.

Boston drivers are not really all that bad in terms of driving skill. Boston drivers are really just angry. They'll flip you off, yell at you, and occassionally cut you off. In nearly 13 years of driving I've yelled my fair share of obscenities and I have arthritis in my middle finger from flipping people off. However, only once has someone tried to intentionally hit me.

Miami drivers on the other hand have no driving skill what so ever. I used to live in Miami in the mid to late 90's and after a recent return trip can honestly say that the drivers there have only gotten much, much worse. When you drive in Miami you literally take your life in your hands. I have NEVER seen so many drivers cut other people off. Some guy cut me off on I95 going 80 MPH (at least I was). So, being a Bostonian I honked and flipped him off. To my utter surprise, he simply shrugged at me as if to say "what did I do wrong?" It's scary driving there. Everyone comes right up to your rear bumper before deciding to change lanes. Plus there's no state inspection. I've lost count of the number of cars I've been behind without even a single brake light. Miami drivers are SO oblivious too. I can't tell you how many times I saw some guy cruising in the left lane with a state trooper tail gaiting them for miles before realizing it and changing lanes. Don't even get me started on the Q-tips. Q-tips are so named because when you look in the window of the car all you can see over the head rest (or even sometimes the steering wheel) is a poof of white cotton like hair.

In summation, the Herald is a rag and don't drive in Miami.

Think thats bad, go drive in Europe! Where there are few cops around and few speed limits in most areas! Hence people literally fly!!!

Lack of Police presence equals Speedy fast drivers! Since were rambling here, i will tell you my story

Im on a highway in europe last summer and I look into my rearview mirror, see no-one coming so i switch lanes to the fast lane. No sooner was i in the fast lane when i look in my rearview again (cuz i thought i heard an engine revving high) and theres a 911 on my Ass! I thought to myself holy shit, this guy wasnt there a sec ago! I go inot the right lane, he passes me in a millisecond and right behind the 911 is a bike on the Porsche's ass! With a female passenger on the back no less! You def have to have a leadfoot in Europe, especially if youre going to attempt the left lane!

In summary, im very surprised Boston would rank that high. I figured it would def be NY!
