But it is almost risk-free, so why not?
Risk FREE? Please, if it ends up not selling, I'd end up owning a GT-R, one of the most sought after cars in the world...wait, let me rework my argument to make it a little more convincing.

It is essentially a "call option"...,

$1000 to buy a GT-R with a strike price of MSRP+$10,000.

So the question is....based on the hype this car is generating....do you think someone will pay at least MSRP + $10,000....if not, I lose.....
If some one is willing to pay...more, then the rest is profit.

Downside is $1000.00. Upside is ?? unknown, but probably at least $2-3,000

How many of these will be available before they begin selling at MSRP?

OK checked with a MA dealer friend.....

MA law prohibits keping a deposit if the consumer wants to walk away from the deal.

SO no down side other than someone holding a "G" for a few months.
I just called....they said noone has jumped on it and so it looks like I'm "depositing" tomorrow.
