Sheesh...........talk about saving some $$$$. Hell if you don't like it just get the 4.44's and sell the 4.77's.

I almost feel dirty having him give a dealer a pumpkin with 50K+ on it from an '00 car.

That is NOT what I'm trying to do. And I hope that's not what everyone was thinking.

I know that there is a little KIT that is needed that Rick supplies that has all the parts needed. So you might be right.

The kit supplies you with some bearings and other things. They aren't CRITICAL...however, if you happen to break the bearing while taking it off the pinion, we'll...you're screwed. hadn't really thought of that myself...but that's very true.

But, if we're talking about just swaping pumpkins, I don't know of any part that would have problems or that could potentially break. It's when you take the diff apart that you may run into some problems...getting those bearings off the pinion isn't easy...and you can easily damage them in the process.

also, though those parts arent critical if you don't break anything...it's just good practice to use new ones...you may not noticeably break the bearings, or other components...but you may put strain on them, or damage them slightly...enough to cause you problems later. best practice overall...but I still don't think anything is very damageable swaping pumpkins...someone correct me if I'm wrong though.

Steve, I hope you can pull this off...I really, really do.

But, just in the case you didn't, can one of us have just the yellow box? I have no use or plans for it currently, but you never know if one of us will in the future.
