Default Calling Scott....

Just need to vent a little. Yesterday I went to pick up some puppy supplies. I could not open my trunk (passat). I suspected it was the snow, freezing rain.....etc.

Anyway, I used the remote and the trunk release inside the car. They both did not work!

Lucky for me, I could push down the back seats.

I tried to use my key to open it manually. I could not even put my key in the keyhole.

It is funny, when I used the remote and trunk release, I could hear the unlocking of the trunk, but the trunk light never came on though.

I hate winter!!!

pour hot water on it next time

also the light will not work because the pin for the light did not pop up because the trunk did not open

also you have a remote starter - just remote start the car and blast the heat - you should not have this problem if you do this and let the car warm up

Good idea! I will definitely try it tonight.

Oh I warmed up my car in the garage for a good 15mins. It still did not work.

Hot water it is then!!!

Thanks!

Oh, I will pose some pictures of our newest member of the family.

15 minutes is not long enough given the very cold temps - 1/2 hour is more like it and i would have dropped the seats so that the heat can go into the trunk

also - be careful with the hot water - it will freeze on your garage floor making it very slick!! - - i would only do this as a last resort and outside on your driveway

you could also use window de-icer BUT i would check the can and make sure it wont harm your paint

ahhh - so what's your new Shepard's name????

Her name is Tina. No, we don't have another pet name Turner or Ike.

I think we should teach her to be mean to intruder right from the get go.

Hey Steve, would you wear a thick padded jacket and show up unannounced?
