Yes the Vac lin is the cause of the CEL

While you dont need the airpump it will cause you to fail emissions. Dibi has a stand alone , not as important . BTW Dibi did you find someone for inspection ?

I can't get this code to reset - even after leaving the fuse unplugged overnight. Doesnt even cycle to off at the first start then come back on - just never goes out. Took it to Autozone to pull the full code and got a P0411. Friggin guy wouldnt reset it for me either.
After a closer examination - now that its much brighter out now with the big ball of fire in the sky - i found that the line that was unplugged was the one that goes to the little solenoid mounted to the factory air box then down. This poses a question. If that line were unplugged, would the pump run continuously? Could I have melted it like in one of Billman's threads? https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=350254

Yes - I'm pulling the correct fuse - the 7.5 labeled Back up and above the interior light fuse.

No aftermarket intake - just found that one unplugged line - drove from Erick's on Sunday night - car very cold - to home - about an hour. Drove to school the following night - bout 30 min - drove home and almost home the light comes on at a stop light - car at operating temp and was for 20 min at least.

Just disconnect the battery , Much easier .

When reset the light wont come on right away as it goes through some readiness checks

the pump doesn't run continuously. It just runs for cold starts pumping extra air into the engine for about 30 seconds or so to help lean the mixture. You can easily hear if the pump is running or not. I find it much easier to hear when I'm inside my garage (with the garage door open of course). If the valve is anything like in my audi, the vac line opens the valve to let the air from the pump get into the head.

riiiiight - which is why i fear that if it did it would burn itself out or burn a hole in the housing like in the thread I linked.
