then i suggested DSL - cable is 100* better than dsl and fios is even better than cable
heck my p0rn phone has faster speeds than dsl

I've only had dial up and DSL. DSL works fine for me, obviously much faster than dial up. I've heard cable is faster than DSL, but I'm happy with the speed I have, and I prefer dealing with Verizon vs ComCast.
Cable might be too fast for
folks like you and me.

When it works right cable is awesome.
but here is a tip bill.
get the phone service during the install.
We had mediocre service when it was first installed.
every day or so the modem would hang and need to be reset.
a phone is far more critical and they have to correctly tune the network so you have great service.
So when I had the phone line put in they came out and readjusted everything.
suddenly the annoying lockups were gone and the HDTV didn't get the annoying pixelation.

We dropped the LAN line at the house a few years ago and only use our cell. Saves the marketing calls for one thing and I figure if anyone really wants to reach us, they'll eventually call our cell anyways.
that only works if you have a strong cell signal near your home - i do not have any near my home - hence the reason i still have a "land line" from comcast and now an airwave from sprint to send my cell signal though voip

....lol
