What am I gonna do about this? Is this area metal or fiberglass?

I can't afford to buy a whole new sideskirt and I believe it's a waste since in this area you wouldn't notice the shade being off between new and old paint.

What can I do and do you guys know anyone who can fix this sort of thing inexpensively?

I'll update with the story later but pretty much it's due to a curb and it's bent in a bit. You can kinda see it in the photo and obviously the paint is rashed off. Also I heard that dents are pretty time sensitive because they become less malleable over time. Is this true? Please let me know soon. I seek your wisdom S2ki of New England!

Thanks for the help in advance,

-Ri.Le

That sucks....I'd rather have a wrecked fender than that.

What to do? Get it fixed....not sure a side skirt would cover or even fit right.

EDIT....I see....that IS a sideskirt.....nevermind.

That sux, and unfortunately those are not cheap to repair. That and the rear quarter are the two worst places to damage on an S.

awww mann... not the answer I was looking for but what do you guys think it would be around?

Also is that area metal of fiberglass or what? I can't really tell but I'm guessing metal. I'm worried about rust.

I have some similar (but less extensive) damage on mine from hitting a curb. It is all thick metal in that area. No way it will be able to be banged out. I haven't gotten an estimate to fix it, but I am betting it isn't going to be cheap.

From looking at it, I think the body shop would probably use a dent puller to smooth it out, then fill in the holes from the puller and re-paint. $$$

Contact your insurance company and have it fixed correctly.

It is metal as Jeff said .

Yes it can be pulled and repaired . How much will depend on the shop you take it to . But it will also determine the quality of the repair as well .
