While I can appreciate what you guys are trying to do with the 904, it's going to be a waste of money. It claims the following:

"LaserPro 904 is designed to block the return reflection emitted from a traffic laser device."

A physical impossibility unless they've come up with some new gee-whiz deice that is able to capture light . The only thing you COULD do is flood the gun with so much IR that it doesn't have a chance of recognizing its own signal, something the 904 isn't capable of doing with itsEXTREMELY low IR ouput.

As I've said many times before, in theory these things are designed correctly, but in practice, no one makes one strong enough. Don't waste $300 on these things.

One Device reigns above all .

1.)THE PBA CARD ( Family member version is most preferable )

More good advice....

2.) Drive in the middle lane .

3.) Don't weave in and out of traffic.

4.)If you are the only one on the road never go more than 8 or 10 miles above the limit.

Save your Money !

Nothing Beats instant on !

Even Rosco P Coltrain has instant on at this point in time !

If you are pulled over and a cop sees your detector they are much more likely to give you a ticket.

If you need to speed , cross the Border to another state.
At least that way , if you get a ticket, you probably won't get the points transferred to your State. That is, if you pay the ticket.

Dan,
The military has had this technology for a very long time. It is only just now coming into the civilian sector for use.

Rowland,

As I said (in slightly different terms), the theory is sound, but the civilian sector technology just isn't strong enough to do any good. Looking at these tests, I may have to change that thought...maybe the companies have finally seen their folly and really increased the output power of the LEDs. It's interesting to note that the product either performed quite well (80% or better) or totally sucked (the two that NEVER fooled the guns).

Hell, I'm not going to buy one of these things, I'm just going to make one. The cost of parts is about $10, and I can guarantee the power coming out of mine by design.

Now Dan if you build something I am sure that somebody around here can get in touch with a trooper. Then we can find out where they will setup a lazer gun and find out if it really works!!!!!!
