Yup....they want your money and they're willing to pay for it.

There is much rumor and comment that these promos which have been running for a few weeks will end or alter starting Saturday.

12 Month CD 4.25% APY
9 Month CD 4.00%APY
6 Month 3.25% APY

No strings attached....$500 minimum, no other account requirments......
oh yea.....Sovereign Bank

This is why I've been out of my mind busy lately....my production has tripled and my "new money" deposits are off the chart.

My bank is currently paying 4% on savings.

High Yield Savings Account - 4.00% APY*
* Annual Percentage Yield (APY) effective through Nov. 20, 2008. Initial deposits of $100 required
for Savings. Minimum balance of $500 is required to avoid a $4 monthly fee on Savings. Rates on
Savings accounts are subject to change daily after account is opened. Certain fees may reduce
earnings on accounts. Deposits are FDIC insured up to $100,000 per depositor.

I also have annuities that pay 6.9% on deposits <$100,000K and 5.9% for >$100,000K.

Are these Federally insured? Can I negotiate a higher rate?

So does that mean you don't need more business?

Nope!! J/K...I'll always take money!!

Yup FDIC! BTW.....it is 250,000 per depositor, per asset class.
Individual
Joint
Trotten
Ira

SO if you use all the classes.....one could have 1 mil+ fully insured at the same bank.
