Man, for all the holier than thou BS from democrats and BS about trying to make families stronger and whatnot they should learn to start at home.
First, Clinton banging that NASTY Lewinski chick.
then Gov. spitzer declaring war on prostitution only to hire hookers himself.
Now John edwards admits stepping out on his wife.

Meh, I don't think it's got anything to do with affiliation. It's mostly just the power trip. It makes women more attracted to a guy (whether or not outspoken women will admit it, it's true) and it makes the politician feel like he's above the common man.
Fact is, politicians are politicians because they're very good at schmoozing, bullsh!tt!ng, and flat out straight-faced lying. Combine that with the fact that most of them are wealthy, and you get people who mess around.

But the simple fact is that politicians, athletes, movie stars and the rest of the "celebrities" are still just human beings with the same faults and weaknesses as the rest of us. They just live in a spotlight so they look more foolish when they get caught...
