Scott, as is often the case with internet posting, you read something and interpreted it to be personal, and an attempt to dredge up old BS. I really, really, didn't see that, especially coming from Erick. Look at the old threads. How often do you see him involved in ANY of the confrontations we've had around here.

The crap did not need to hit the fan, there was no need for ranting, but that's just my opinion, yours may vary.

No, we didn't have a quote prior to the work. The work was no more than the previous time he worked on the car, and we were taken aback by the price, but we just paid the bill and said nothing.

 

I think the majority of the problem is that sarcasm and inflection do not translate well in text form. Even with smiley faces. People tend to read things and interpret them in an entirely different way than they were intended.

We either need to give people the benefit if the doubt, or just don't take the comments too seriously.

 

Talk about over reaction , I have to try and answer 3 people at once .

I am not going to consume myself with digging through the past as Steve might . But there are lots of times where sometimes you might not be trying to fuel the fire and at the time might be funny to you but was not warranted or funny at the time . You can not say you have not ... When I speak sometimes I speak for a majority that feel the same . Just as you did when you emailed me a few months ago .

You can honestly say you were not expecting a reaction out of me from quoting me and the comment you left ?? you are smarter than that . This is what pisses me off . You know very well I would have something to say . I know you and you know me all to well . I took it personal and then others comments just fueled it . Seems like it is always the same group with the issues , jokes , fuel .... you see where I am coming from Erick .
