The Ding King
The Integra I bought my son is a low mileage car with lots of door dings, scratches and a few creases. I figured we had nothing to lose but $19.95, so I went to Pep Boys and bought a Ding King kit. You've seen this thing on TV. It looks like a suction cup with a bolt sticking out of the back side sitting between two bigger suction cups attached together by an aluminum bar that you stick the bolts through. The guy in the commercial attaches the suction cup to the car, then places the other two cups along either side of the first cup. He screws down the thumb nut onto the threads of the screw sticking out of the suction cup and the ding pops out.
Well, it isn't really suction cups. Those things are just round plastic pads with threaded rod coming out the back. The kit comes with three sticks of glue and a glue gun. You melt the glue and apply a blob of it onto the pad and then stick it onto the car. After 5 minutes you set up the other two pads and the aluminum block and turn the thumb nut. The crazy thing is that this device actually works. You have to be careful, cause you can even pull the ding so hard that it pops out beyond the body line. Clearly some practice gives better results, but you'd be surprised what this thing can do.
I even popped out a huge dent with a crease in the middle that was on the Integra hood. If the first pull does'nt get the ding out all the way, set it up again. After two or three applications, the ding will either be gone or so close to gone that you will be pretty happy with the result.
The glue takes some time to clean off the car. the kit comes with a plastic spreader that really serves as a knife that slices off the glue. You then rub the spot with some alcohol to get rid of the remaining glue.
While I thought this thing was going to be a joke, I'm very impressed with the results, especially for $19.95.

If you are already a knuckhead, the Ding King will only create more problems as you fail to follow the directions and glue your own fingers to the car. Knuckleheads should avoid the Ding King.
