Thumbs up Do you exercise?

OK, I want to know. Just out of curiosity, if you want to tell me, who bothers to exercise?

Rick and I are walkers in the summer months. 3.5 miles is our "regular walk". We'll ride bikes sometimes, but only on bike paths in good weather. We don't want to get too crazy!

In the winter he's very good about using the treadmill, and I'm working on the more frequent use of the treadmill, I'd rather be outside.

We know Cubby is working on a six pack ab, Kev is training for a marathon, boltonblue/Jerry is active when he's not getting his knee repaired. Ellen is "hitting the streets."

What about the rest of you?

rule #1 if you going to get your knee fixed and not be able to exercise, don't do it the day before thanksgiving, better known as opening day of fat season.

yup lainey,
up to 30 minutes a day on the bike. no resistance yet though, just spinning.

tomorrow i start with weights again.

fatso has to lose 50 lbs this year.

really would like to be able to do the pan-mass challenge which is 150 miles.

Where's the option for, planning to get back to the gym? Since it doesn't exist, I am forced to choose 2-3 times a week which is what I plan to do, just Tuesdays and Thursdays, I find if I do anymore days, it'll be too hard and I won't do it at all. Call it low expectations or going for the low hanging fruit, better something rather than nothing. So, 2 days a week is good. The ironic thing is, the more you exercise, the less tired you feel...weird.

hockey (cardio) 4-6 times per week and just started to hit the weights again. I think I have really been suffering in metabolism because I haven't touched weights in a couple of years.

I've turned into a believer about that after a few months of regular walking almost every day. I don't think anyone believes it until they feel it happen!

Yes you are tired right after but you start to feel less tired right away and it's unbelievable how it affects other areas of your life like better mood, less stress and more optimistic, etc.
