Jeff , Great job on getting your springs in

Did you remember to cut the bump stops?
Did you preload the suspension before you tightened everything?

I am not trying to discourage you ,just trying to help and make sure you get the most out of your suspension.

Looks like she is sitting the same as my 1" drop . It does take a few weeks for it to settle and should sit another 1/4 to 1/2 inch lower .
Yup! and Nope......

We preloaded the suspension before tightening/torqueing to factory specs, but we didn't cut the bump stops. I haven't bumped into the bump stops.....what do you usually cut off? A little off the bottom? The whole stop is not more than 1.5 inches.

Thanks for mentioning the bump stops......

Something that should be mounted on every fender on your car

Jeff,

I just cut them in half.

Thanks for the link thomas - if it's #13 or 12 i don't see why you would have to cut them in 1/2 the spring is lower then the oem spring

No problem, Steve.

I went to the front fender assembly. I did not see a bump stop there.

Lowering springs reduce the amount of available compression stroke, cutting down the bump stop would give a bit back and allow a bit more compression. I expect that the higher spring rate will compensate a bit also....I'll be conscious about bottoming out over the next few days...

S2ki searches seem to lean toward to cutting the stops down a bit, but aren't conclusive. Evolution Motorsports apparently does not cut em for the Espelir.....
