Dice-K looks Dicey the last couple of months.

The Sox will need the big bats again to win.

Dice-K nuts up and pitches 4 strong innings. gets in a jam in the fifth, up 4-2, Beckett comes in and shuts them down til the 7th (1-1/3 innings). Okajima gives up one in the 8th; Papelbon slams the door in the ninth.

My predictions:


Pitching:
Dice-K eats crap in less than two innings and Tito pulls the plug on him fast. I think at that point, Beckett stays in the dugout and Lester comes in to take over as long as he can. Timlin and Oki bring it to the 9th when Papelbon closes it out with the Sox heading to the Series.

Batting:
Pedroia and Drew continue their hot streak and get some good production going to supplement the usual barage by Manny and Ortiz.

Bottom line is that the Sox win although it will be close after Matsuzaka almost gives up the farm in te beginning.

 

I predict the team with more points when the game ends will win
