Getting chrome pinstriping tape to stick.
I used some chrome pinstripping tape to accent the roll bars. It looked OEM (even fooled Bass). It just won't stay attached to the plastic roll bar covers. I've cleaned the area thoroughly with alcohol, but no luck. Any suggestions?
Steve,
Thanks but I think shoe glue might be too thick. It would be good at the tape ends to keep them in place. I've used the same tape on the plastic trim below the side windows on my TL and it's been there for a year and a half. Its either the texture of the plastic covers or I haven't gotten it clean enough to get good contact. I need to find something strong enough to clean the surface without damaging it.

how about acetone??
we used the "shoe glue" to hold plastic bumbers on the roll hoops without a problem spread it with some small artist brushs
also 3m makes some GREAT two sided tape that should hold it too
