Default Goofing off in CT

So we were goofing off in CT today. Gillette Castle, Devil's Hopyard State Park....

Cool sights. Maybe a meet in the making.........

Cool cars at the castle!

The castle was closed, so no inside tour, but still a neat place. Some nice roads here and there, but foliage was kind of a bust.

I visit those places a bunch throughout the warm season. Great hiking around the castle and the hopyard + the fun roads for the car and bike

It was getting late so we didn't hike around the hopyard too much. Could have roamed the castle grounds a bit more as well, maybe next time. We weren't sure where the trails at the castle went, and no maps were available. Did you ever find any tunnels there? Tunnels were mentioned in the info I found on line.

The roads around the area weren't bad at all.

Maybe we can meet up there at some point.....

Never been up there. I would be up for a meet there when it's warm out.

Very nice pictures BTW.

We'll keep it in mind for a spring time meet. We stayed a the deluxe Best Western in Groton. We had a free night's stay so it worked out well.
